Skin Classic Treats Minor Skin Irregularities, Often in One Treatment

Brown spots, skin tags, little bumps that never go away… sometimes these small but persistent flaws seem to jump out at us when we look in the mirror, undermining our confidence and making us feel self-conscious. Now, thanks to Skin Classic, a safe, affordable alternative to laser, it’s easy to remove these minor imperfections and leave skin smooth and flawless.

Developed by Stephanie Gallo Holvick of RN Faces, Skin Classic uses high-frequency technology to treat minor skin irregularities, such as telangiectasis (visible blood vessels), cherry hemangiomas, keratosis, fibromas, skin tags, hyperpigmentation, milia, sebaceous hyperplasia (enlarged pores), and acne. Skin Classic treatments are quick and work by dehydrating the top layer of the skin only in the area being treated.

After the treatment, a scab-like crust forms, which falls off on its own in 3-7 days. The treated area may look pinkish or brownish for up to 6-8 weeks, during which time mineral makeup can be used as a cover up. When the new skin has completed its healing cycle, it will match the surrounding skin.

Skin Tags

A skin tag, also called an acrochordon, pedunculated papilloma, or fibroepithelial polyp, is a small benign tumor that usually appears in a skin crease in areas such as the eyelid, neck, armpit, and groin. Skin tags range in size from a grain of rice to a golf ball. While skin tags are harmless, they can be irritated by clothing or jewellery.

Milia are small, bump-like cysts found under the skin and are usually 1 to 2 millimetres (mm) in size. They form when skin flakes or keratin (a protein) become trapped under the skin. Milia most often appear on the face, commonly around the eyelids and cheeks, though they can occur anywhere.

Cherry Angioma

Cherry angiomas are harmless cherry red spots or bubbles on the skin, containing an abnormal proliferation of blood vessels. Cherry angiomas occur as we age and can appear anywhere on the body.

Rosacea is a long-term skin condition with symptoms that include redness, bumps, swelling, and small and superficial dilated blood vessels, usually on the nose, cheeks, forehead, and chin. At Luminesce, in addition to Skin Classic, we also recommend Laser Genesis as a treatment for rosacea.

Sebaceous Hyperplasia

Sebaceous hyperplasia is a disorder of the sebaceous glands and is a common, benign condition in adults of middle age or older. The sebaceous glands become enlarged and form lesions that manifest as yellowish, soft, small papules on the face, particularly the nose, cheeks, and forehead.

Sun/Age Spots

Sun and age spots are concentrations of melanin in the skin and appear as small dark patches, most commonly referred to as freckles or liver spots. They vary in size and usually appear on the face, hands, shoulders, and arms — the areas most exposed to the sun.

Skin Classic gets beneath the skin’s surface to force the inflammation/infection out of the skin. This treatment does not remove the acne, just the infection. At Luminesce, we also offer a variety of treatments for acne and acne scarring.

Spider Veins

Spider veins (aka telangiectasias) are clusters of tiny blood vessels that develop close to the surface of the skin like a spider web, usually on the face and legs. In addition to treatment with Skin Classic, Luminesce also offer laser treatments for spider veins. A consultation will help determine your best treatment option.
