CUSTOMS DUTIES AND TAXES
Luminesce Skin & Laser Clinic is not responsible for any duties or taxes incurred once your order arrives in the country of delivery. All importing taxes are the responsibility of the customer. If you are unsure about the importing tax threshold in your country, please visit your postal system website for further details.
Please note: Luminesce Skin & Laser Clinic cannot declare your order as a gift.

If you selected post service as your delivery method and have not received your order within the estimated timeframe, contact your local postal service for information on tracing lost packages.
If you selected our tracked shipping option, input the tracking number into the shipping company’s tracking section on the website; this will allow you to track delivery and get more information.
While Luminesce Skin & Laser Clinic will do everything we can to assist, we cannot be made liable and will not refund or resend orders.
We want you to be happy with your purchase. We accept returns within 14 days of receiving your product as long as it is not opened or damaged. If you are concerned about skin sensitivities, we are happy to send samples with your order so you can try it before you open your product.
At Luminesce Skin & Laser Clinic, we pride ourselves on offering the best in customer care. Please make yourself aware of our policies, which have been designed to ensure a safe and enjoyable visit for all guests.
Clients under the age of 18 must have parental consent.
Booking and Changing Appointments
You can book all appointments via our online portal or by phoning 1-250-361-4934. A credit card, gift card or prepayment is required at the time of booking to hold your appointment. Please advise of changes or cancellations 24 hours prior to your appointment via phone or email to firstname.lastname@example.org. Respectfully, late cancellations or changes incur 50% of the appointment fee and $50 on skin consultations.
Please arrive 5 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment time. If you are late for an appointment, we may need to shorten or cancel your treatment and the full scheduled appointment fee may still apply. Please allow for traffic and parking.
Complimentary Parking: Enter underground parkade off Quebec Street in the Hotel Grand Pacific. As you enter the parkade keep to your left and our parking spots are 122-125. Parking is complimentary and reserved for Luminesce Skins’ guests for the duration of your appointment.
Consultation: Please come with clean skin. If this is not doable, we can provide cleanser but request that you arrive early to allow time for cleansing. Also please bring your current skin care and base make-up.
Chemical Peels: No Accutane use in the last 6 months. No use of retinols, Hydroquinone, AHA’s and waxing for 5 day before your treatment. No intentional sun/tanning/fake tans 14 days prior to your appointment. Wait 2 weeks after neurotoxin injection (botox) or fillers before getting any treatment.
Skin Classic: Skin Classic uses of radiofrequency; therefore, if you have a heart condition or pregnant, this treatment will not work for you.
Microblading: Please book a consult before this appointment; additionally, please read the pre & post care and contraindications under the microblading heading prior to your appointment.
Fractora, IPL, Vascular, & Pigment Treatment: Please come with clean skin. If this is not doable, we can provide cleanser but request that you arrive early to allow time for cleansing. No Accutane use for 6 months prior, no intentional sun/tanning/fake tans for 4 weeks prior. No waxing, retinols, hydroquinone, benzoyl peroxide, etc. for 5 days prior to your appointment.
Microneedling: Must not have been on Accutane for 6 months. No neurotoxin
or filler injections, microdermabrasion, chemical peels in the area for 2 weeks prior, no sun/tanning/fake tans for 2 weeks prior, and no retinols, AHA’s or hydroquinone for 5 days prior.
Laser Genesis & Deep Dermal Tightening: No active serums like retinols, AHA’s or hydroquinone.
Nail treatments: no antifungals for 2 days prior and no polish on your nails. Please bring a clean pair of socks to wear after your treatment. Have your nails no more than 1/8 of an inch thick.
Laser Hair Removal: If you are coming for a consultation, please do not shave for minimum of 5 days prior to appointment. If you are coming for a treatment, no waxing, plucking or tweezing 4 weeks prior, no sun/tanning/fake tans 4 weeks prior, no retinols or hydroquinone for 5 days prior, no antibiotics or sun sensitizing meds 48 hours prior to appointment. Please shave 24 hours before treatment, and if treatment area is on your face, please come with clean skin, if this is not doable, we do provide cleanser to do so.
Bodyfx: Please wear same black under garments on your first, fifth and follow up session for photos.
For your comfort please let us know the amount of massage pressure, number of pillows or conversation level, please notify us of any preferences. Our qualified therapists are trained to respect your comfort and privacy. During massage and spa body treatments, the body is fully draped, except for the area being worked on. Disposable undergarments are available for your comfort.
Whilst in our venue, we ask that you kindly respect our staff, facilities, policies and the enjoyment of other guests. We operate a very positive, professional and loving environment.
At Luminesce Skin & Laser Clinic, our therapists are certified in their respective services. You will always be supervised by our founder and creative director Charmaine Shipley a caring, qualified professional.
Please alert us to any dietary requirements, allergies, conditions (including pregnancy) or disabilities so we can assist in making the appropriate choices or modifications. While all care is taken, Luminesce Skin cannot guarantee any of our treatments (or catering) are completely free from traces of allergens or appropriate for any medical condition. Please seek prior advice from your doctor or healthcare professional. If your dietary requirements, allergies, or health conditions (including pregnancy) or disabilities have changed since first making your appointment, please advise us as soon as possible prior to your treatment. Patients being treated for chronic medical conditions or cancer should provide written clearance from their doctor.
Pregnancy and Breastfeeding
Due to increased sensitivity and various hormonal changes during pregnancy, there are some treatment contraindications and special precautions for pregnant and breastfeeding mothers. We recommend that you check with your doctor about your individual needs prior to booking any treatment.
An additional consent form must be signed to proceed for all pregnant and breastfeeding guests. Due to manufacturers instruction, all other treatments including facials, peels, laser and clinic treatments are contraindicated during pregnancy. If you have any concerns regarding sensitivity, please consult your doctor prior to booking.
Prior to any treatment, please use our consultation forms to disclose to Luminesce Skin your medical history, including any medical conditions, pre-existing injuries, infectious diseases, skin conditions, allergies, and pregnancy. If your health conditions have changed since first completing the forms, please advise us as soon as possible and prior to your next treatment to allow us to make the necessary adjustments. If at any time during your services you experience discomfort, please alert your therapist immediately.
Luminesce Skin & Laser Clinic is not a medical center and we cannot offer advice regarding the suitability or appropriateness of any of our treatments for any medical condition or compatibility with any prescription or professionally administrated medication. Any information provided by Luminesce Skin & Laser Clinic, including by its employees or agents, should not be construed as a substitute for professional medical advice. Luminesce Skin can refuse treatment if we deem that any of your medical conditions may cause harm to you, our staff or other clients. You release Luminesce Skin & Laser Clinic, its employees, agents and third party providers, from responsibility and liability for any death, injury, loss, delay, inconvenience or damage caused by the treatment, even if you provide Luminesce Skin & Laser Clinic with a 'medical clearance' from a medical practitioner allowing the treatment, or if you misrepresent or fail to disclose to Luminesce Skin & Laser Clinic your medical conditions or changes to your medical history prior to any treatment.
Gift certificates can be redeemed for the treatment/s nominated, or the original card purchase value can be used towards other service or product of choice. Gift Certificates numbers should be quoted at the time of booking your appointment and presented on arrival. Should you provide less than 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule an appointment booked using a gift certificates, the cost of the treatment(s) booked will be deduced from the card balance. Gift cards cannot be exchanged for cash or transferred to another client or friend. Please keep your card safe as it cannot be replaced if lost or stolen. *Gift cards redemptions may be paused in the 6 weeks before Christmas if redemption reaches capacity.
PERSONAL INFORMATION WE COLLECT
When you visit the Site, we automatically collect certain information about your device, including information about your web browser, IP address, time zone, and some of the cookies that are installed on your device. Additionally, as you browse the Site, we collect information about the individual web pages or products that you view, which websites or search terms referred you to the Site, and information about how you interact with the Site.
